Thinking Like A Mountain: a Council of All Beings, is a two-day residential workshop through which we explore and come to affirm our fundamental interconnectedness with each other, the Earth and all life, and so discover a hidden source of wisdom, vitality and empowerment.

The workshop is an opportunity to gather with a shared intention, in an environment of trust, to assist us in healing our separation from our own inner nature, each other and the Earth. We move through a four-step process:

This takes us on a journey through simple explorations of our feelings and concerns for Earth in which we relive our evolutionary journey, and come to experience our true connectedness with Earth. The weekend culminates in a ‘Council of All Beings’ in which we discover how to speak from the perspective of another being in nature.

As we move through this two-day process, we come to discover and open to our own inner resources of courage, compassion and creativity that become available to us all, as we experience deep integration and wholeness with all life.

  • Gratitude for the gifts of Earth

  • Honouring our pain for Earth as a healthy expression of our love for Her

  • Seeing with new eyes

  • Going forth with inspired intention

In this short video Joanna Macy speaks about daring to go into emotions around environmental degradation as a pathway to clear action.

This we know. The Earth does not belong to man; humanity belongs to the Earth... Man does not weave the web of life. Humans are merely a strand in it. Whatever they do to the web, they do to themselves. Teach your children what we have taught our children, that the Earth is our mother. Whatever befalls the Earth befalls the sons and daughters of the Earth. If people spit upon the ground, they spit on themselves...
